History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She worked as a nervous Ruler and found it very stressful. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 7 years.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.
