History: Sumnes lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Through the years after Duergath was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Duergath's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
