Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting drow, the young Patrin began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Patrin was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

Description: Her left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise she appears quite healthy. She wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. She has moderate length white fur. Her copper eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Fragrant was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Fragrant fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She works hard and plays hard.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and she wants revenge against brigands

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
