History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. Through the years after River was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. River's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, River and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was born in the south. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away.

History: Born in the north to a Knight, Rosalind learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her childhood dream was to be a Blacksmith, but she was a colossal failure. She tends to her Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and further expansion of business

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
