History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Pyntle was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Pyntle's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. Markosian abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
