History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. She found a children's book about a Tabaxi Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

During her travels, Sumnes and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Sumnes discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Sumnes fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
