He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Thava was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Thava abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Thava fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
