History: Oppleby was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Slave Trader arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Valida was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Valida's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
