History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, she's a very lovable idiot. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and an old rival family wants her found

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: Decarabia hails from a village terrorized by goblins. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and a deep hatred of goblins

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He takes great joy in being the best Dyer in town.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Oloric was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with his Cartwright father left him crippled. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To be a Cartwright again; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
