History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Zed grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Zed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Taklinn abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mercenary but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Ribbles was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Whurdred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her first spouse was a Adventurer, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
