She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Ploughman kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered west to less war torn lands. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
