Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: Ekemon hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Through the years after Ekemon was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Ekemon's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Baker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
