She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ruler they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Glassblower, and he later adopted a second son.

His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Simon took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Fortune-teller they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bounty Hunter, and he later adopted a second son.
