Description: This younger middle-aged man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down, and a wedding ring on his right hand. His hair is white and curly. His gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Butcher and was forced into it by his family; and wishes to resurrect an old love

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
