History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Gale was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gale's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now mingles about in high society.
