History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Emerald was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Emerald's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has achieved small success as a Tanner.

History: She got into the Engraver business at a young age. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: He was born in the north. Drifting was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Laborer. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has decided he is irredeemable
