History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. During her travels, Malquis and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Malquis discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Malquis fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
