History: Trym was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Guard and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: She was born in the north. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is greedy; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
