History: Beleth lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Beleth was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Beleth's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She tends to her Stylist job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Nelkin embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nelkin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Oloric hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
