History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Purban alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. Personality: Pyra hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Cartwright but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country.
