History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting illithids, the young Igden began to lead the lost caravan. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
