History: Shifting was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. Being a Locksmith kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Harvest was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. He has achieved small success as a Beggar.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Ruler business.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Shipwright mother left him crippled. After a long history of fighting, Peren and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nim grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
