History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: This late middle aged woman wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment and is in decent physical shape. Her blue crest is lengthy. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: Hethress hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.
