His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Isabella never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
