History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She takes great joy in being the best Detective in town.

History: Born to a Spice Merchant, her father struggled to pay the bills. Her parents enrolled her in a Aristocrat school at a young age so that she could practice her psionic talents. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and balancing her hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult
