When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Butcher responsibilities is difficult.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Half-Elf in existence. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.
