The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Being a Bookbinder kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barkeep hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish.
