History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Gorfel was born on a far eastern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Sage. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Shadow wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying south to reunite her family. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
