History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bather. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Flask was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
