History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Fletcher born in the past three hundred years. She is a great chef.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she desires power and/or immortality

Description: A pudgy man standing about 5'1" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He is wearing a long, grey, dusty cloak. His long silver hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His gray eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker grey hat.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away.
