Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Arnold is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shipwright. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shifting was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Courier born in the past three hundred years. She has all her life been fascinated with dancing.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She struck the Courier job and began her own company from there.
