One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Kava grew up listening to her father's many stories. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
