Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Thorpe has worked very hard to control his curse. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
