History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He became a Servant soon after.

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Nelkin was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
