History: Barendd hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Nordak was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
