History: Veloptima was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: Arara was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
