He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: Paela hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Mortician who has hired him part-time. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Don was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mortician. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Mortician, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is his passion; and to reunite with his old friends

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now mingles about in high society.
