History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Qemuel was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the west; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

Her black hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Her gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She's also a talented Shepherd, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To settle down with her crush; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: Vani hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She was taken from her home at a very young age. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Vani was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
