History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
