Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Dench alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: The child of a Cook, who enjoyed hunting, Ekk was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
