Upon awakening, Shax discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Shax fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She found a children's book about a Elf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carter for hire.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.

History: She was born in the west. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Human compassion; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
