History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Mastema alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the east to a Shipwright, Fax learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shipwright for hire.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He became a Merchant soon after.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to be a spice merchant again
