However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Koeth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Koeth. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
