History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Locksmith work with an outfit from a few towns over. Locksmith work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She's also a talented Beggar, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
