Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Gifted from a young age, Ekk studied abroad. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bernard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Description: A pudgy man standing about 4'7" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He dresses like a well dressed Ruler does. He has styled his auburn hair well, parting it to the left. His hazel eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Varis abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Ruler responsibilities is difficult; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
