History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Vani took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up trident and armor she uses now. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Helen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Dain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and doesn't want to be a miller and was forced into it by his family

Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with small hat. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He keeps his blonde hair in a pixie cut. His gray eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.
