History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Aline was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her first spouse was a Navigator, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
