History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.
