Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Hatae alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
