Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. The war was a terrible time for him, and Ombul does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and to protect his home

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Description: An older woman who wears just a brown suit, she is not a threatening figure. She has slicked back black hair. She has blue eyes.

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Ella was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
